Prince Ivan just wants to be happy. He doesn't want riches, or fame, or even his father, the Tsar's kingdom. When the magical silver apples from the Tsar's famous garden start to disappear, it looks like his wish is far from coming true. Tricked into finding the thief by his wily, greedy (and lazy) older brothers, Ivan sets out to make things right. He gets more than he bargains for when he befriends a talking wolf who promises to help him, if he'll follow his new ally through a series of funny, and some-times nail-biting-breath-holding, enchanted quests. Along the way, he meets up with some very strange creatures, indeed—and begins to wonder just exactly what he's gotten himself into! Join TCT for this imaginative re-telling of the tale that inspired Stravinsky's stunning Firebird Suite, and celebrate the holidays with music, mirth, puppets, and magic for the whole family.
